Tifani Sadek is an attorney with General Motors, advising its connected car group on global issues. She has been an attorney for nearly nine years and has engaged in a variety of roles: working for large international law firms, running her own practice, teaching at the University of Michigan Law School, serving as the top lawyer to a governmental organization.

“I'm the first in my family to get a college degree so acquiring a post-graduate degree seemed like a far-fetched dream growing up, [but] I have always sought out great mentors. I'm a believer in assembling your own personal board of directors to give you advice and to act as a sponsor to open up doors and opportunities you may not even know existed.”

Before the age of 35, Sadek has owned and managed a successful business, served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of a governmental organization, and worked as in-house counsel to one of the most exciting sectors in a Fortune 10 company.

“Detroit is a great place for a young professional. I know that I would not have had such an exciting and successful path in another city because these opportunities would not have been open to me like they are here in Detroit.”

Sadek received her law degree from the University of Virginia and her bachelor's degree in biology from Texas A&M University. She is currently a candidate for a master's degree in management from Harvard University's Division of Continuing Education.
