Randi Olson is a Forensic Accounting Manager at Rehmann Corporate Investigative Services. Olson graduated from Davenport University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting Fraud investigation and is a Certified Fraud Examiner. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Accounting and plans to sit for the CPA exam soon.

“I am intentional in achieving professional success by viewing my career as just that, my career – not just ‘a job.’ I spent my earlier years having just a ‘job’ to make enough money to pay the bills, and every time I would have a bad or upsetting day, I would say to myself, “It’s just a job, it’s not my career.” Now that I am in my career, and not ‘just a job,’ I find value in every opportunity I have. I believe having this outlook is absolutely essential in achieving professional success. ”

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Olson is actively involved with the City of Hazel Park as an Auxiliary Police Officer and with the City of Troy as a volunteer firefighter.

“Civic engagement is important to me because it allows me the opportunity to not only diversify my skill set, but to be a part of something much bigger than myself. Volunteering as a police officer and firefighter allows me to have the best of both worlds. I am the only female patrol officer in the City of Hazel park and the only active female volunteer firefighter in the City of Troy. I believe my participation in these organizations provides a venue to inspire others, especially young women who are interested in a career in public safety.
